Take a peaceful walk at Paseo de Los Proceres, a grandiose monument and public park. Dedicated to the fighters in the South American independence struggles, it was inaugurated in 1956 by then-president Marcos Perez Jimenez. Stroll the park walkway that ends in the massive white marble monoliths resembling a gate. Along the way you'll pass gardens, large oval fountains, and many sculptures and decorations. The spacious park makes a great place for resting, exercising, or having a picnic. Plan to visit Paseo de Los Proceres during your Caracas vacation using our convenient Caracas attractions planner.
