  • Really interesting museum but be forewarned that much of it is for children so if you have kids, a great museum. As an adult, be prepared for chaos.

  • Took my elementary age daughter and son, and they loved it. Grandma and grandpa came, and were also impressed. I had a great time! The Perot Museum follows a logical path from the creation of the universe, to the beginnings of life on earth, through dinosaurs, animal and human evolution. I loved how they featured dinosaurs and dinosaur fossils found in Texas! It gave the museum a very personal touch. My kids were enthralled throughout the museum, and never complained of being bored. If you arrive early enough, and make it through the first few areas in time, there is a craft/building area that my kids loved as well. They were ready to sit for a minute, and have them a craft they could leave with! Buy you tickets online ahead of time, and getting into the museum is a breeze. If you end up staying until close, or close to close, pay for your parking ahead of time as well to speed your exit. Be prepared for some very positive representations of the petroleum industry. (Remember you're in Texas, where oil is still big.) I didn't eat at the restaurant, but did go to the gift shop. Standard museum gift shop with high prices.
  • Loved it. Fascinating and great exhibits. Go to the Guineas Book exhibit too. It's in the same place but a separate entrance and charge. It's worth it for kids though. Super clean, the bathrooms actually surprised me. The restaurant on the way out looks good as well. We didn't eat there but would have had we been hungry.
