A few of the many highlights include a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil, a mummy mask, and numerous objects that once belonged to Mary, Queen of Scots. • It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. There is so much to see. And the museums in Scotland are free of charge. A donation is optional.

  • A beautiful and interactive museum. Truly one if the better museums I've been to. The collection is extremely extensive and diverse. I've been there for about three hours but i think you can spend the better part of a day there without being bored or seeing the same display twice. Also great for people of all ages. When visiting Edinburgh this is an absolute must see!
  • The national museum of Scotland is fantastic there are several floors of regular exhibits as well as touring exhibitions. The museum is free but some of the exhibition's do have a charge though they offer a brilliant range of tickets many with concessions. There is something for everyone with an excellent shop selling various souvenirs relating to the exhibition's. As well as having a lovely restaurant they allow you to eat your own food in the space too. The museum is easily accessible by various buses and by walking. It is well signposted . As a disabled person myself facilities are important there are lifts as well as the stairs to the various floors and escalators to certain parts of the museum too. The toilets are spacious , easily accessible and very clean. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable . A brilliant day out for people of all ages .
