  • This place will wow you for sure. The richness, the gold bazaar. As an Indian it’s a must stop to buy vat free gold jewellery. Best part about this place. Although it’s an open market, the walkway is covered by wooden roof, which makes it easier to walk and not be bothered by the heat too much. We went to Damas Jewellery shop among others. Professional people.
  • Last time I was here - about ten if fifteen years ago - the souq area was being ‘cleaned’ up for tourists. It was quite empty . It’s great to see that it is again a busy thriving area. I very much enjoyed walking around eating Indian snacks and checking out all the amazing gold art - that’s how it looks to me. Some amazing stuff
