Create an itinerary including Little Water Cay
Head to the nature reserve of Little Water Cay, otherwise known as 'Iguana Island'. The cay accomodates some of the few remaining rock iguanas that used to inhabit most of the islands in the Turks and Caicos. Access the cay by tour boat or kayak from the Leeward Marina on Providenciales. Wooden boardwalks map out the island and due to the endangered nature of the iguanas it's a requirement to stay on the paths. Pristine waters surround the cay, ideal for snorkelling and observing an abundance of marine life. • Nice govt run island. There is a fee for entry. Informative walking tour with guide. We saw 10 or so iguanas during the walk. They were used to being around humans so they walk right in front of you..... Definitely worth the trip if you're passing by to dive or snorkel.
  • So beautiful! Tons of iguanas
