Toledo is a World Heritage Site that embodies the complex cultural history of Spain while remaining a forward-moving, modern city.
Kick off your visit on the 27th (Sun): take in the views from San Martin Bridge, then don't miss a visit to Mirador del Valle, then admire the landmark architecture of Estación de Ferrocarril de Aranjuez, and finally make a trip to Puerta de Bisagra. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of Santo Tomé, then examine the collection at El Transito Synagogue and Sephardic Museum, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral Primada, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Synagogue of Saint Mary the White.

Madrid to Toledo is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a bus. In August, plan for daily highs up to 39°C, and evening lows to 22°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Tue) so you can go by car to Madrid.
