Vienna — 7 nights

City of Dreams
The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.Escape the urban bustle at Wachau Valley and Nationalpark Thayatal. For shopping fun, head to Vienna Naschmarkt or Graben and Kohlmarkt. Venture out of the city with trips to Weingut Esterhazy (in Trausdorf an der Wulka), Weingut Prieler (in Schutzen am Gebirge) and Die Perchtoldsdorfer Heide (in Perchtoldsdorf). There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at Belvedere Palace, see the interesting displays at Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Stephen's Cathedral, and identify plant and animal life at Naturpark Mannersdof-Wuste.
