Party Capital of Tenerife

Known around the world as a hotspot for beach life and vibrant night culture, Playa de las Américas remains one of the most-visited vacation resorts in the Canary Islands.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Fri): stroll through Barranco del Infierno and then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa de las Vistas. On the 9th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas and then kick back and relax at Playa de Fanabe.

Barcelona to Playa de las Americas is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Central European Standard Time to Western European Standard Time is minus 1 hour. In July, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 24°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sat) so you can catch the flight to Lisbon.

Traveling from Playa de las Americas in July, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be little chillier in Lisbon, with lows of 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Sintra.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
On the 13th (Wed), learn about winemaking at Graham's Port Lodge, do a tasting at Quinta dos Corvos, then do a tasting at Porto Augusto's, and finally learn about winemaking at Casa Ramos Pinto.
