There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Schloss Belvedere, make a trip to Schillers Wohnhaus, examine the collection at Liszt Haus, and take in nature's colorful creations at Goethes Gartenhaus.

Kassel — 2 nights

Despite suffering total devastation from bombing raids and house-to-house combat during the Second World War, Kassel today has been revitalized as a city of high education, high culture, and the arts.
Step off the beaten path and head to Museum fuer Sepulkralkultur and St. Jacobikirche. When in Kassel, make a side trip to see WildtierPark Edersee in Edertal, approximately Edertal away. There's still lots to do: get outside with Fritzlar, pause for some photo ops at Hercules Monument, stroll around Bergpark Wilhelmshoehe, and explore the historical opulence of Schloss Wilhelmshohe.
