Jewel of the Mediterranean

Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Basilica de la Sagrada Familia and Barcelona Cathedral will appeal to history buffs. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Playa Sa Riera and Playa de La Barceloneta. Step out of Barcelona to go to Begur and see Cala de l'Illa Roja, which is approximately 1h 45 min away. Spend the 3rd (Wed) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. Next up on the itinerary: take a stroll through Gothic Quarter (Barri Gotic), make a trip to Casa Batllo, admire the landmark architecture of Casa Mila - La Pedrera, and stroll around Parc Guell.
