Tavira has succeeded at escaping the flood of tourism that has affected other coastal Portuguese towns over the years.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Fri): pause for some serene contemplation at Faro Cathedral, see what you can catch with a fishing tour, and then kick back and relax at Cabanas de Tavira Beach.
