If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiport is Keflavik International Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 10°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Thingvellir.

You can drive from Reykjavik to Thingvellir in an hour. In July in Thingvellir, expect temperatures between 16°C during the day and 10°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Mon) so you can go by car to Geysir.

On the 11th (Tue), take in the natural beauty of Blesi, then take in the dramatic scenery at Bruarfoss Waterfall, and then relax in the rural setting at Fridheimar. On the 12th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the sheer force of Gullfoss Falls.

Traveling by car from Thingvellir to Geysir takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of taxi and bus. Expect a daytime high around 17°C in July, and nighttime lows around 10°C. On the 13th (Thu), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Skogar.

Skogar is known for nature, museums, and trails. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: take in the dramatic scenery at Skogafoss, witness a stunning natural landmark at Seljavallalaug, steep yourself in history at Rutshellir Cave, and contemplate the geological forces at Katla Volcano.

Drive from Geysir to Skogar in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In July, daily temperatures in Skogar can reach 14°C, while at night they dip to 11°C. On the 16th (Sun), you're off to Asbyrgi.

On the 17th (Mon), explore the striking landscape at Vesturdalur, then explore the striking landscape at Hljooaklettar, and then admire the verdant scenery at Asbyrgi (Shelter of the Gods).

You can drive from Skogar to Asbyrgi in 8.5 hours. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Husavik.

Kick off your visit on the 18th (Tue): admire the striking features of Husavikurkirkja, explore the striking landscape at Rauoanes Point, and then learn more about the world around you at The Húsavík Whale Museum.
