As the largest of Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan represents an important entry port in the archipelago.Do some cultural sightseeing at Puntan Sabaneta and Saipan Katori Shrine. Tinian--now home to around 3,000 people--was the site of a ferocious battle between Japanese and Allied forces during World War II. It was eventually captured by the U.S. forces and turned into a large military base.On the 8th (Sat), tour the pleasant surroundings at Tachogna Beach, explore the ancient world of House of Taga, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Taga Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: make a trip to Suicide Cliff (Tinian), then steep yourself in history at Atomic Bomb Pits, and then kick back and relax at Chulu Beach.
