Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel — 5 nights

As the busy capital of São Miguel, Ponta Delgada represents the most visited place on the island.
Get out of town with these interesting Ponta Delgada side-trips: Islet of Vila Franca do Campo (in Vila Franca do Campo) and Furnas (Caldeiras Vulcânicas, Parque Terra Nostra, &more).
