On the bank of the Mtkvari River and at the foot of Trialeti mountain range, Tbilisi's location has given the city strategic significance since it was founded in the 5th century.
Museum of Illusions and Art Palace of Georgia-Museum of Cultural History will appeal to museum buffs. Jvari Church and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Mtskheta (The City-Museum Reserve of Mtskheta & Mtskheta Church of the Holy Cross). The adventure continues: take a memorable drive along Rustaveli Avenue, step into the grandiose world of Narikala Fortress, take in the exciting artwork at Fotografia, and pause for some serene contemplation at Tsminda Sameba Cathedral.

Get some cultural insight at Ethnographic Museum "Borjgalo" and Adjarian Wine House. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Ureki Beach and Kobuleti Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Batumi: Makhuntseti Waterwall (in Keda) and Mtirala National Park (in Kobuleti).
