Barcelona — 5 nights

Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
When in Barcelona, make a side trip to see PortAventura in Salou, approximately Salou away. Pack the 4th (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Parc d’Atraccions Tibidabo. The adventure continues: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa de La Barceloneta, ponder the design of The Magic Fountain, and admire the landmark architecture of Palau Guell.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Barcelona International Airport, Girona Airport and Reus Air Base. In June in Barcelona, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 22°C at night. On the 7th (Fri), you're off to Seville.

A city of rich Moorish heritage, Seville is the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, and the site of numerous festivals throughout the year.
On the 7th (Fri), contemplate the long history of Plaza de España and then stroll around Parque de Maria Luisa. On your second day here, pause for some serene contemplation at Catedral de Sevilla, enjoy breathtaking views from Torre Giralda, then don't miss a visit to Casa de Salinas, then admire the striking features of Torre del Oro, and finally contemplate the long history of Royal Alcázar of Seville.

You can fly from Barcelona to Seville in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. When traveling from Barcelona in June, plan for a bit warmer days in Seville, with highs around 35°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 20°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sun) so you can catch the train to Cordoba.

Andalucía’s thousand-year-old city, Córdoba, was once the capital of both the Roman Empire and the Moorish Kingdom, representing an alluring mix of cultural and political history.
On the 9th (Sun), visit Jewish Quarter (Juderia), make a trip to Historic Centre of Cordoba, then contemplate the long history of Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba.

Traveling by train from Seville to Cordoba takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Seville in June, expect nights in Cordoba to be about the same, around 19°C, while days are a bit warmer, around 40°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Sun) to allow time to take a train to Granada.

Traveling by train from Cordoba to Granada takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Cordoba in June: highs in Granada hover around 35°C, while lows dip to 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 11th (Tue) to allow enough time to fly back home.
