Binnenhof & Ridderzaal (Inner Court & Hall of the Knights)
Visit the historic and current center of Dutch political life at Binnenhof & Ridderzaal (Inner Court & Hall of the Knights). The 13th-century Gothic castle was originally the seat of the counts of Holland, and it later served as the main government building of the Dutch Republic. Today, the castle is home to the upper and lower houses of the parliament, as well as the prime minister's office. The central building of the castle represents the magnificent grand hall, with a throne from which the Dutch monarch delivers the parliament's opening speech. Go on a guided tour of the castle, learn about its history, admire the architecture, and use the opportunity to watch the parliament in session. Occasionally parts of the building may be inaccessible due to important political activities. A visit to Binnenhof & Ridderzaal (Inner Court & Hall of the Knights) represents just the start of the adventure when you use our The Hague online route planner to plot your vacation.

A nice peaceful walk around. There are cafes around but also plenty of space to seat or stand and take in the view. We simply walked the circumference, took about 30mins

Beautiful Parliament office that sits next to the Hofvijver lake, which is also lovely with the fountains flowing, ducks, swimming, and great weather. Definitely one of the sights to see when in the area. The area on the other side is under construction and we could not see a way in to check if tours or anything were available still.

It was a very nice place and the architecture was very special because there were the old houses and behind you could see the „sky scrapers“. Therefore the pictures were very special for europe.
