Royal Palace Amsterdam
Royal Palace Amsterdam was once a city hall and royal palace; today it's used by the Dutch monarch for hosting official events. Built during the Dutch Golden Age in 1665, the site features prominent paintings and sculptures created by distinguished artists of the era, as well as lavish Empire furniture from the early 19th century. Take an audio tour and hear about the history of the palace. Walk through the extravagant rooms and offices, filled with golden elements and brightly colored, highly realistic paintings. You'll encounter works by Flinck, Lievens, and Jordaens. Plan my day in Amsterdam using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

Absolutely stunning inside, the chandeliers are breath taking and the furnishings and art in the rooms leave you speechless. Didn't see as much of the Palace as one thought we would. Value for money..... more

A must see site. Less crowded than expected (end of summer holidays). So much beautiful artwork. I particularly loved the great hall. Note, only a small portion of the palace is open to the public, but still plenty to see. The self guided tour recommended. Expect to take 2+ hrs to view properly.

I had a very special day at the Royal Palace. It's not only beautiful but filled with so much history. Definitely more than worth the small entry fee. I would definitely happily go there again with another person as this was a solo trip 😊
