Explore Daan Forest Park, a 26 hectare (64 acre) green space in the center of the city that's known for its trees. Locals and tourists visit the site, nicknamed the "lungs of Taipei city," to take part in outdoor activities like wildlife watching and plant spotting around the ecological pond. Families with young children will find a playground, and for older kids and adults there is an amphitheater that hosts concerts and symphonies. The park also has a jogging loop, skating rink, and underground parking structure. Put Daan Forest Park and other Taipei attractions into our Taipei sightseeing planning website, and watch your holiday take shape.

It was refreshing by walking along paths where many people exercised. Trees and flowers are vivid whereas they conduct cares and maintenance and so, visitors can feel morning air.

Not the most stunning of parks but there were plenty of paths, benches, trees and lots of people having picnics. I was here for the birds and what a fabulous place for bird watching. Highly recommend.... more

A nice park in the heart of Taipei, easily accessible with a Subway station right under the park and conveniently surrounded by 4 main roadways. Underground parking lot with entrance leading into the park. Lots of space for events and activities including an amphitheater. A short, nice stroll around its ecological pond and firefly area. Park has accessibility ramps so friendly for baby strollers and even wheelchairs. Public bathrooms well scattered throughout the park and well-maintained with cleaners onsite.

We absolutely love this park. The area for kids to play in is great. It has a climbing structure, slides, swings, and a big sand pit. I love the exercise area. It has just about everything including walkers, a rower, waist trainers, pull up bars, parallel bars, and inclined sit up area. There's a beautiful field next to it where you can see white cranes. There's also an amphitheater, trash and recycling cans, and lots of walking/running paths. It's so huge, we haven't even explored half of it. There's a parking garage underneath.
