Einstein House (Einsteinhaus)
Explore the house where Albert Einstein first developed the theory of relativity, forever altering the world of physics, at Einstein House (Einsteinhaus). Here at Kramgasse No. 49, Einstein developed the famed Annus Mirabilis papers, leading to the development of modern physics. Walk through the top floor to get a sense of Einstein's living situation during the period of 1903 to 1905. Read signboards, view pictures, and watch a video that outlines the events of Einstein's life. You'll also see relics, such as baby clothes, his wife's clothing, and old passports. Keep in mind that the museum is very small and can only accommodate a few groups of visitors at a time. Visited the museum today and it was amazing. I've always heard that he's had a small apartment in Bern while studying at the University and I've finally got to visit it. The museum manages to offer insights into his life, love and family. You can visit the museum for CHF6 and you can get the entrance tickets at the door without having to book in advance.

We had the Swiss Travel Pass and it was 50% off. We were in Old Town and way back to our hotel. The museum only took cash so we had to go to an ATM. Luckily, we made it just before they closed. Einstein really didn’t live here very long and the display is small. If we were constraint with time, we would have not bothered.
