Once an ancient mosque’s minaret, Torre Giralda is a converted belfry soaring over the city’s famous Gothic cathedral. A symbol of the city easily recognizable from countless postcards and tourist brochures, the tower can be climbed for a sweeping view of the surrounding area. This brick tower on the northeastern side of the World Heritage–listed cathedral is 104 m (341 ft) tall, originally built around 1190. The tallest sections of the tower were added much later, when Christians took over most of the city’s Islamic buildings and converted them to suit their religious needs. The tower can only be accessed through the cathedral. To ensure entry, check online for available tour options before you go. We both enjoyed the superb views from the top of this tower, which is next to the cathedral. I had to stop a few times on the way up, as I am not very fit! I was glad that there was not a spiral...

This is part of the cathedral tour and is the first part. Its a bit of a hike up the ramps to the top but well worth the visit.

Beautiful and stunning day and night. Keep checking for opening/closing hours as it do change especially if there is an event. Definitely one of the must see places in Seville. Not too difficult to find as it’s gigantic size easily catches people’s attention. Plenty of restaurants in this area and plenty of horse carriage ride available. The places within this area are lovely to see.

Gentle sloping ascent to the 35th floor, not difficult at all and plenty of places to stop. Definitely buy the tickets in advance! Don't accidentally get caught in a group either ☺️ Great views, a "must do" experience in Seville of course! Lots of space at the top to stop and take pics. Our 11.45 entry time seemed low crowds, a little later it was rammed.
