Plaza de Toros de Ronda
In atmospheric Plaza de Toros de Ronda, it's easy to imagine a raucous crowd letting out a collective "Olé!" as a costumed bullfighter deftly averts a steaming-mad bull. At one time, this was one of Spain's most important bullrings. It features 136 pillars and 68 arches lining 2 rows of seating and a stone passageway leading to the large dirt circle in the middle. Its rural location means bullfights take place infrequently these days, but tours of the arena and bullpens remain on offer. Check out the small chapel where bullfighters pray before taking to the ring. To see collections of royal harnesses and antique firearms, head into the museum. Using our custom trip planner, Ronda attractions like Plaza de Toros de Ronda can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

We took a one-day trip to Ronda and first saw this traditional place. It’s the oldest built arena from 1784. It’s a perfect circle, two-story auditorium with 5000 seats. The most impressive for me...

One of the oldest and largest bull ring still in use in Spain. The place is a masterpiece of engineering en architecture made by the same person who designed the Ronda bridge. The place is full of history. The museum has nice artefacts that helps understand the history and bull fight traditions origin. It is a must see if you visit Ronda.

One of the oldest buildings in Spain dating from the late 1700’s. The 8.5 euros to enter allows you access to the ring and the small museums located inside the interior of the ring itself. Fascinating to be able to walk throughout the entire arena including the cent of the ring.
