Museo Sorolla, Madrid

As soon as you enter, you feel like you're in a different place, quieter and nicer than usual life. First impact with gardens is astonishing; each of them designed by Sorolla himself after famous Spanish buildings. Inside, where he himself was leaving, is full of paintings and arts, exposed in respect of original house disposition. The perfect experience mixing art and daily life.

One of the best museums I have EVER visited. First of all it is in his home, turned museum. The furniture and items are mostly his. Many of the rooms are staged exactly as it was when Sorolla and his family lived there. His art is displayed in a very appealing way. Easy to view and enjoy. EACH piece is described in an interesting and informative way. I like his artwork so I am biased, but his works are really interesting. He painted his personal life, family and friends, in a completely different style than his other works. If you visit Madrid don't miss this museum.
