  • The "Sala de las Dos Hermanas" (Hall of the Two Sisters) is where the Sultan kept his favourite women. Yet another room with intricate architecture to visit in the Palace.

  • The name of this room is due to two large twin slabs of marble found on the floor of the room. This room was the center of a series of rooms that served as the residence of the Sultana and her royal family, and it is known that Boabdil's mother lived here with her children, after being disowned by Muley Hacén. Built by Mohamed V, the room is square and has alcoves with lace-up ceilings that communicate with the Rooms of Carlos V and, through a balcony, with the Partal Gardens. The floor of the room, made of marble, has a small fountain with a spout and a channel that leads the water to the Patio de los Leones. The most impressive element of the room, due to its beauty and perfection, is the muqarnas dome that we find on its ceiling, in which the lighting has been perfectly studied, through the opening of side windows.
