Create an itinerary including Carmen de los Martires
Not precisely in the style of the Moorish gardens of Granada, Carmen de los Martires nevertheless offers gardens with many years of history. Perched on a hill top, the park also features excellent views of the nearby Sierra Nevada mountain range. Only peacock’s calls break the silence. Note that you may find the gate from the main road padlocked and have to circle around; follow the signs to the Falla Auditorium for entry. Consider bringing a picnic. • Spectacular! One of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen anywhere. Despite one can see it is not regularly taken care of as it should be, it is still stunning. And I was told by one of the locals that the fountain in the middle is the most beautiful one in Granada. I second that. Check out the pictures.
  • Beautiful, out-of-the-way little park that punches above its weight. A rich variety of spaces, from a peaceful enclosed water garden, a wild garden and then terrace gardens with great views over the city. Especially nice if you want a break from queues and crowds.
