Once the last Islamic stronghold in Europe, Alhambra reflects the splendor of the Moorish civilization in Spain, and offers visitors a chance to see exquisite ornamental architecture, lush gardens, cascading water features, and panoramic views of Granada. This complex was once a palace, citadel, fortress, and the home of the Nasrid sultans, high government officials and servants of the court. Within the medieval complex of structures you can also explore other prominent buildings belonging to different time periods, including the palace of Carlos V, noted for housing a museum of fine art. To avoid disappointment, be sure to book tickets at least a few days in advance by phone or online. Amazing place. One of my favorite in Spain. Ticket price was 15 euros online. On summer is very hot place but don't miss it!!! You have restaurants inside, drink machines and bar for buy some cold drinks. Also you can visit some parts of Alhambra for free. You can go there very easy by bus, number C30 and price 1,40 euros. Ticket for Alhambra can buy online. Also Granada is an amazing city.

The main tourist attraction in Granada is a delightful palace of beautiful design. It has the appeal of a gallery where you walk and admire the shapes and designs. There are a few gardens and water features that break up the flow of what is essentially a home design gallery tour of the palace. It is worth reading about the history beforehand for a better appreciation. It is recommended to use the local transport to visit and explore without a guide. If you have the stamina you can also walk to the palace for additional views and seeing more of Granada. It is worth the visit, but you should know beforehand if this is the type of experience you enjoy.
