Tour the 12th-century Islamic architecture that adorns the historic city center at Calahorra Tower. Originally constructed by the Moors to protect the city from invasion, the tower is now the site of a museum dedicated to the history of Córdoba and Moorish culture. Browse the many Al-Andalus artifacts housed in the museum or climb to the top of the tower for sprawling views of the city and the Guadalquivir river. Walk along the ancient Roman bridge connecting the tower and the city. I am giving three stars because the staff there was very polite and welcoming, and the view from the tower is pretty. However, I find the whole live-museum concept as executed here to be rather tedious. I'd be much happier to just read the information, rather than listen to not very high quality slow paced recordings, which try perhaps a bit too hard and unfortunately not in a good way.

Really good museum. Kind staff and audio guide included which is so sensible. Well worth the money. Some of the models they have in there , like for instance that of the Alhambra, are quite lovely. Lovely view from the top. Dirty loo though.
