Create an itinerary including National Park Pelister
Known for its two glacial lakes called Pelister's Eyes, National Park Pelister offers many opportunities for hiking, skiing, wildlife viewing and birdwatching. The alpine landscapes of pine forests, sparkling springs, and apple orchards shelter wildlife like bears, wolves, deer, wild boars, rabbits, and eagles. Take one of the historical hiking trails dating from World War I, and walk over reconstructed bridges and along trenches with cannon positions. On the edge of the park is an "eco" village that preserves traditional way of life and an intimate relationship with nature. Locals recommend hiking with a mountain guide if unfamiliar with the area. Put National Park Pelister on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Bitola trip builder site.
