Not the lavish and luxurious surroundings as some of the other port houses, but all the better for it. The itself tour is with fewer people and as such provides a more personalised experience. For me.... more

This place is a definite MUST visit. We had a tasting of a few different high-quality ports, and the staff/guide (who deserves a raise!) was very knowledgeable in explaining the differences between all the ports, and the aging processes etc. We were also able to go for a tour through the winery as well. We felt very welcomed and we also purchased a few bottles to take home because they are just that good!!

We stumbled upon Churchill’s while walking around town and went in to try to do a port tasting and a tour. We didn’t have a booking, but they allowed us to join onto another tour, which was so kind of them! The tour was great; our guide was very knowledgeable. We did the basic tasting and really enjoyed the port as well! Would highly recommend.
