This is the main church in Vila Franca do Campo. It is bear the main road and you can't miss it. The architecture of the building is out the ordinary compared to other church in the island.

A beautiful church in a distinctly Manueline style. Summit construction in basalt extracted from local quarries. Portal facing west, being the parish church, with the patron patron saint of the island: São Miguel Arcanjo. The main nave, with the image of São Miguel, in the chapel, is of great beauty; with intense natural light; with perfect sound. It is one of the most welcoming Azorean churches when you go to contemplate and meditate.

I would like to know if there is a record of the 1st Communion in the year 1895 or so. My grandmother was baptized there in 1883, page 030 nº 57.
