O NewsMuseum é um espaço experiencial dedicado às notícias, aos media e à comunicação, que irá ocupar o antigo Museu do Brinquedo em Sintra. Este projeto irá proporcionar aos seus visitantes a maior experiência de media e comunicação da Europa.

Com abertura a 25 de abril de 2016 vai apresentar num espaço físico, mas também virtual, uma história da evolução dos media e das disciplinas do jornalismo. É um museu moderno, altamente interativo, que vai contar episódios da história de Portugal e do Mundo através do que os media retrataram.

A Acta Diurna – reportando-se ao título do primeiro jornal conhecido, na Roma de Júlio César – é a associação privada e sem fins lucrativos que promove o museu. Os membros da direção são Luís Paixão Martins (Presidente), João Paixão e Rodrigo Moita de Deus.

NewsMuseum is an experiential space dedicated to news, media and communication, which will be installed in the former Toy Museum in Sintra. This project will provide the visitors with the biggest media and communication experience in Europe.

Opened in the 25th of April 2016, NewsMuseum will present not only in a physical space, but also in a virtual one, a history of the evolution of the media and the different areas of journalism. It is a modern museum, highly interactive, which will revisit episodes of the history of Portugal and the World through the portrayals made by the media.

Acta Diurna – referring to the title of the first known newspaper, in Julius Caesar’s Rome – is a private non-profit association that promotes the museum. The board members are Luís Paixão Martins (Chairman), João Paixão and Rodrigo Moita de Deus.

  • This is probably one of the best museums I've been to. If you are anyway interested in journalism, this is brilliant the interactive displays are brilliant, I would highly recommend.
