Lovely beach with golden sand and nice surroundings. Free parking and gradual walk into the ocean. The Atlantic is not specifically warm but it is pleasant enough for a short swim. Visdited in October 2022.

Probably the most accessible golden sands beach in Madeira. Well located, easily accessible, parking near by and baby-friendly. It also offers facilities for disabled people to enjoy a bath in the sea. You can spend there the whole day, bathing in the water, watching the planes land and take off, boats coming and going, and basically just chilling with your family. There’s a couple of restaurants near by for lunch and snacks. Toilets are available and free too. It can get crowded during the summer season and the parking can be a nightmare but other than that it’s a great spot for a day on a beach if you have kids. There’s a pebble beach near by that can be better for you if you want more privacy and don’t have kids.
