Create an itinerary including Cabo da Roca
Europe's most Western point, Cabo da Roca offers beautiful views of the rugged coast. Walk or bike to the Cabo da Roca lighthouse, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy time outside while exploring this spot, known as the Rock of Lisbon in the Age of Sail--a windy cape of granite boulders and rocky sea cliffs. Try to spot the low-lying vegetation and marine birds roosting temporarily along the coast and in nearby coves. At the site's monument, you can grab a bite to eat or explore nearby shops. • PARKING IS FREE! This guy or someone like him will tell you it’s 10€ to watch your car for an hour, or 20€ for two. Don’t fall for it. Beautiful views, though.

  • I visited here during a day tour of Cascais. The views of the ocean and the cliffs took my breath away. I also enjoyed the bus ride from Cascais. A definite must see if you are anywhere near Lisbon

  • Really beautiful area at the western most edge of Europe. There's a small monument along with a couple buildings and shops near by. The trails near by are short but the views are beautiful. Taking in the view is peaceful because it makes you feel so small compared to the earth as a whole. It was peaceful. I recommend making the trip - it's not too far out of the way
  • Great view from the most western Europe point. We came here during not such a good weather, but had a luck that the sun arrived just on the sunset. It is accessible by a car. There is a lot of free parking space.
