Create an itinerary including Snake Island (Vigan Island)
An untouched oasis of sand and sea, Snake Island (Vigan Island) connects to mainland Palawan via a winding sweep of sandbar, appearing daily at low tide. Accessed via boat or foot (during low tide), the island itself is small and blanketed with thick foliage. Surrounded by crystal clear azure ocean, snorkel along the shore, then hike to the top of the island’s viewing platform to see the snaking sandbar in full view. Keep your eyes peeled for monkeys hiding in the mangroves. If walking across the sandbar, make sure you wear water shoes to protect your feet from rockfish. • The water is beautiful and the sandbar is cool to walk across. The water level was high so the sandbar was about 2 feet underwater. No biggie, it was still cool to visit. There isn't much to do...

  • This nice sandbar appears at a low tide. However we were at a high tide and it was not at its best. We had our lunch here among mangrove trees. With little effort one may climb the Snake Island’s hill to enjoy the view from the top.
  • Beautiful place. Today snake shape sand wasn't there it was submerged, but it was a good wasn't on the water. Good hike up a small hill for a view. Loved the pkace
