Millennium Bridge, Podgorica

Stroll over Millennium Bridge, one of the city's most prominent landmarks, which overlooks the new city center and the densely populated districts on the other side of the river. Thirty-six splayed cables hold the 140 m (459 ft) long bridge, which is supported by a single pylon. With little traffic, you can easily walk, bike, or drive across the bridge at a pace that lets you appreciate the view and the construction of the structure. Look for the UN Eco-building on the eastern side; it has the first photovoltaic solar power station in Montenegro on top of it. The pedestrian lane is lined with benches facing the river.
