Create an itinerary including Budva Old Town
See the former city fortress, Budva Old Town, a fully functional complex of antique structures filled with quaint restaurants, historical sites, and homes. As you approach the site from Budva's vibrant promenade, you'll observe its rugged walls, which preserve remnants of numerous cultures, spanning the 6th century BCE to the present day. Tour the narrow Venetian streets, see Roman baths, and visit museums that preserve ancient treasures, medical instruments, and miniature multicolored glass vessels where sailors kept their loved ones' tears, according to tradition. You can also try local dishes at some of the restaurants at the site. Put Budva Old Town and other Budva attractions into our Budva online tour planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • If you're in Montenegro do not miss a trip to Budva. The old town is this wonderful ancient city built over 2,500 years ago. The streets inside are so narrow they are not anything like modern-day streets, more like alleys, pretty much 2-3 people wide at the maximum. Wander around as you like, it's small and you won't get lost much...find the archways that spill out of the ancient city fortress wall and spill out into the beautiful beach, complete with restaurants, bars, and loungers with umbrellas.
  • The old town of Budva is a medieval town . It will give you goosebumps as it reminds you of the history of the Mediterranean in 17-18th century. We had spent a couple of hours here. This place is damn cheaper if you are traveling from UK / Switzerland/ Germany. Also try the Mediterranean fish dishes in restaurants around coast.
