Visit Thean Hou Temple, a six-tiered Chinese temple. Built by the city's Hainanese community and dedicated to the goddess Tian Hou (The Heavenly Mother), the temple was completed in 1989. Enter the prayer hall to admire the three altars, with their gold statuettes of three goddesses and offerings laid at their feet. The monumental architecture of the buildings follows a classically Chinese design, with thick red pillars, upturned ornamental pagoda corners, and intricate, colorful repeated patterns. • This temple can be reached by foot from KL Central. The walk through Little India is pleasant. Be aware, there is a hillside walk needed to reach the temple. It isn't too long but it's certainly...

  • Probably the prettiest Chinese temple in KL Really glad to make a stop here to visit the temple. The side of the temple is actually a marriage registration office and on our visit there, there were actual couples getting married and it was a really unique sight to behold. The temple is kept pristine clean and commands a handsome view of the kl skyline.
  • One of the largest temples in South East Asia.. Six storied temple established in 1989, and consists of architectural designs of Mahayana Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism.. Very nice and relaxing environment.. Great views of the city.. Must visit temple in Kuala Lumpur..
