When the original 16th-century structure crumbled in 1945, Hiroshima Castle was erected in its place as a historically accurate replica. The iconic castle once served as a home of the daimyo, the feudal lord of Hiroshima. The structure's modern facsimile, which shines in white with a partially wooden exterior, contains a museum dedicated to Hiroshima's history before World War II. The ninomaru (outer castle wall) consists of the castle's main gate and turrets adjoined by a warehouse. Step inside to see details of the castle's reconstruction. You can see and read the rich history of Japan culture and heritage. From ancient period to modern Japan. You can see here cloths of Edo period, arms used that period. It's very difficult to describe everything without visiting this place.

This one is good place to know Hiroshima history. The stages of katana making is on display- which I cherished most. Also have a 360 degree view from the top balcony. However, this is not the actual castle which was destroyed by atomic bomb explosion. The ruins are located nearby.
