Piazza San Marco
Venice's principal public space, Piazza San Marco has served as the city's social, religious, and political center for centuries. In fact, Napoleon called the square "the drawing room of Europe." It's the largest square in the city and the only one given the designation of "piazza" (the others are all called "campi"). Originally constructed in the ninth century as a small public space dotted with trees, the square was substantially enlarged in the 12th century and was paved with bricks in the 13th. Several major architectural sites surround the area. The most notable is an imposing church dedicated to St. Mark. Don't feed the pigeons--city law forbids feeding the birds in the square. Visited back in 2013. Super beautiful and just amazing!! It’s definitely a must visit if you plan on visiting Venice. The square has so many beautiful shots to be taken from every angle. From the square with the two pillars From the church’s roof Of the clock tower And a stunning view of the water and St George’s church with some Gondolas in view. It’s one of the most beautiful city centres in Europe. I completely recommend it.

Visited this place almost three years back while on the Europe trip. And was very excited to visit this place as I saw it many times in movies or documentaries. Reached the place through a ferry. The water colour was sea green and took almost 40 min to reach there. The first word when we reached there was wow. The place is absolutely awesome. It feels like a different world when we see surrounding. It was very crowded but still many things to see. We will get crowd every where but still place is very mesmerizing. At some place u can have fouling smell too. The flee market is also fascinating. The painting available for sale were really amazing. The restaurants were also on the edges where we can enjoy scenes and food. Amazing place to visit.
