Antica Torre - Riding Ancient Rome, Rome

Highly recommend! Easily the highlight of our trip to Rome. This was a huge bucket list item we were able to cross off, to see Rome the way Romans used to - on horseback. Our guide Sandro was very helpful, patient and accommodating. My horse Zorro was a delight, and my (green rider) husband's mare was very gentle and careful with him. Will be sure to schedule again whenever we are back in Rome.

Had the most incredible experience here, after years of not being on horseback it was so lovely to be back at a stables, where the people clearly care for the horses and make sure you are comfortable with your horse and the pace. I took a 2 hour trek on Nikita, and both her and my guide made it both fun and relaxing. Despite claiming his English was poor he gave me interesting bits of information about the history of the area and the ancient buildings, without overloading me with info while I enjoyed being on horseback again. Even a very unlucky downpour of rain didn't affect the experience. Highly recommend.
