  • Well worth the hike for incredible view and sense of ancient history
  • Attention! This archaeological site is not to be confused with Dún Eochla; as Dún Aonghasa with Dún Duchathair. These are all four different archaeological sites dating from the Iron Age to the Early Middle Ages. Dùn Eoghanachta is an interesting primitive construction. A large and high circle of stones which, over the centuries, has performed many functions: from defense to pastoralism. It is a pity that the path is not marked and that there is no information. OPW, a task for you!
