  • Probably the most important collection of Irish historical items collected and displayed in one place anywhere in the world. Over 100,000 items comprising rare books, manuscripts, letters, photographs and more, this extraordinary collection was amassed by one local Ballina man, Jackie Clarke, over his lifetime. Subsequently donated by Jackie’s widow, Mrs Anne Clarke, to the State, the collection is now held on display and under study, in this unique museum
  • Full of Irish history, has nearby parking (pay and display) is a good spot for children and adults. Has thousands apon thousands of items from rare books, manuscripts, letters, photographs and many many more. Free entry with a cafe on the premises. Lovely friendly staff. Well worth the visit.
