Skyrland, Selfoss

I was today in this exhibition. I think most of the people knows how milk, cheese, butter are done. But I didn't get the information what Skyr makes so special. There are some diagrams, some walls where by touching elements additional information is provided, there is a SummerGrasSimulator, there is anlarge shelf with old stuff from the factory. The tasting consists if 1 spoon pure Skyr and 1 little Skyrdessert. Staff seems to be a little bit distracted, they don't care if people just enter the exhibition without paying or not. Honestly thats the most appropriate thing they can do. So summary: to less information or tasting for to much money

Neat little place with clever interactive exhibits. Kids and adults will both find it fun and informative. I enjoyed learning about the history of skyr and its place in Icelandic history. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Free skyr samples!
