Experience centuries of Viking history at Saga Museum. The museum uses information from past Viking narratives to make sure its 17 exhibits recreate the timeline of Viking history in the most authentic way possible. Start with the Papar exhibit to learn about the first inhabitants of Iceland. Make your way to the Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði exhibit to learn about Iceland's conversion to Christianity. End with the Jón Arason exhibit, which teaches all you need to know about the Reformation. You'll receive an audio guide upon entering, which will explain the pieces throughout the museum. Great way to learn the history of Iceland. You get an audio guided tour of approx 35mins and walk around various exhibitions which explains the history of the earliest settlers. Very informative but a bit short for the price. They do have student discounts so carry your student card. They have a very cool photo area where you can wear different Viking props and take photos. There is a cafe on site as well. The young lady who was at the reception/payment area was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great little museum that takes 30-45 minutes to see. Includes an audio commentary that describes the scenes. Very life like wax figures. Worth the relatively low price of admission.
