Viking World, Keflavik

We were on our way the the airport so we did not have much time. I liked the layout. Building is clean and well laid out. The ship was awesome. Trying on a helmet was interesting. Overall I liked Viking World. I would recommend a visit.

Some real Viking objects as well as a Viking ship are on display here. The ship was subsequently modeled on Viking ships of the time and is allowed to board it. You can watch several videos about this project that contain interesting information. It’s very fun that some Viking swords and helmets are allowed to be taken and photos can be taken with them. Because of these, it’s worth a visit, but otherwise it’s a very small place and nothing else is here.
