  • Amazing work in restoring the site and giving a great impression of what it may have looked centuries ago. A little walk away from the city centre and probably a little less visited due to this...

  • This place is worth a visit. Myself and my boyfriend visited here during our trip to Trier. This is one of the main attractions in Trier. As we are a big fan of Spartacus and similar series, we really felt this place and felt the fight which might have happened here long time back. The cry of victory and joy of freedom etc echoed in our ears when we saw the arena. We felt the painful whispers as soon as we entered the dungeons on the sides of arena. There was an underground canal system beneath the arena which is so fascinating. There are view points from which you can capture the whole amphitheater and its surroundings. This is one of the must see place in Trier. (Note : It would cost 4€ per (head)
  • Fantastic. You get to go EVERYWHERE. Up, down, in, under, around... the only place blocked off was due to a danger of the wall collapsing. Try every entrance and every door! Take the western exit to go to the outside and around the stadium into it from another entrance. Parking is free for this site only. Steep hike up on the vineyard field but it is beautiful. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Bathroom is clean (soap dispenser works, you just have to pull the small tab toward you). Attendant is friendly and knowledgeable enough of English to help us. Checked vaccinated status which is nice.
