Tour Porta Nigra, one of the most well-preserved Roman structures in Germany. That's amazing, given that it dates back to the second century. Built of large, gray, sandstone slabs, this is the largest Roman city gate north of the Alps. Admire the impressive architecture as you learn more about the area's Roman heritage. You can explore the interior of the gate before heading to the top to enjoy the city views. Jump back in time with an informational tour led by a Roman centurion-clad guide. • Beautiful Roman gate made of white sandstone that has turned black. Interesting history presented in multiple languages within the gate and wonderful views of the city and beyond. Perfect for history buffs!
  • Porta Nigra is one of the beautifully constructed Gate in the early 2nd century by Romans. This place is one of the center of attractions and is worth a visit. There are a lot of restaurants on both sides of the street. This gate is accessible from inside as well on particular time slots. It cost 4€ per head. This place is freely accessible from outside anytime.
