Learn about the history of German armored troops since 1917 at Deutsches Panzermuseum, originally an officer training school and now a museum focusing on tanks. The 9,000 sq m (97,000 sq ft) site houses a collection of restored and functional East German, German, British, American, and Russian tanks from World War II. Rare specimens include Europe's only authentic replica of a German A7V from World War I and an American M48 Patton tank, which is open to visitors via a flight of stairs. • A refreshing experience to see live tanks in working order from my grandfather's Era Cold War. This museum is a historical depiction of German engineering at its best in terms of tanks. DAIMLER BENZ was responsible for most of the production. Hence their quality is still remarkable. Apart from the new Indian, Chinese, and African divisions due to which the new S Klasse was recalled for major steering lock issues.
  • This is one of the top tank museums of the world. Offers a comprehensive collection on all armoured vehicles ever used by Germany including GDR. Very well organized and technically and in timeline sorted, some of the devices is still in a working condition. A must visit for everyone interested in war machines.
