This subterranean tunnel, constructed in 1911, connects the city center of Hamburg with the dock and shipyard district of the south banks. Inside the tunnel, you can admire the collection of glazed ceramic motifs. Walk through to the south side of the river for impressive views of the cityscape and surrounding area.   • Wow, awesome experience. I have never seen such tunnel before under the river. There is a lift from where you can go down to the tunnel then cross it to other side. I had good time there, I cross the river and on other side experience wonderful Sunset. Carry your own beer with you 🙂
  • Amazing experience! It's the old tunnel under the river Elbe from around 100 years ago. You can still see the original Art Deco tiles on the wall and admire the car elevator that still works after so many decades. A truly intriguing experience. Highly recommended.
