Create an itinerary including Ecole Supérieure d'Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen
The former ossuary (a cemetery for plague victims' bodies) at Ecole Supérieure d'Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen is an eerie reminder of the plague's devastation during the Middle Ages. Take a stroll in the 16th-century, half-timber courtyard, which has four galleries with carved designs. Large beams in the fourth gallery feature haunting carvings of bones and skulls, as well as coffins and gravediggers' tools. Finding the entrance can be tricky. Keep an eye out overhead for a sign with the name of the atrium, which you access through a passage between two buildings,. As you enter the grounds, look to your right to see a mummified cat preserved in the wall. • Splendidly restored and a heaven of peace. Tourists are beginning to discover this unique monument. The café Hamlet inside is a marvel.

  • Unmissable if in the area. Well kept courtyard (a cemetery in the Middle Ages) and sculptural columns. Now converted into an art space with a crafts shop.
  • Very nice courtyard with a cafe. I recommend you go look at the pottery expo as well as the "atelier" next to it! They have a "free pottery box" of pots they didn't think about selling, so that is fun (bowl in the picture was f r e e )
